ü What are the common pitfalls, best practices, and lessons learned?
ü The legal landscape – brief overview of social enterprise and legal structures available (and special limits for charities and non-profits, with ‘workaround’ solutions)
ü An objective way to narrow down venture ideas, to ensure a best fit for the organization
ü Funding the enterprise – self-funding, grants, and social finance
Workshop presenter Stacey Corriveau is the founder and Director of the BC Centre for Social Enterprise. The Centre provides technical advice to community-based social enterprises in British Columbia.
