| Community Economic Development (CED) is a long-term, inclusive and comprehensive planning and management process whereby communities take responsibility for influencing the economic aspects of their own future well-being. At the root of CED is the development of human capital, businesses, institutions and other assets to develop individual and organizational capacity to purposefully influence and participate in the local economy.
