Keanan Hunt joined the Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) staff in 2007. Starting out as a Youth Intern, she quickly moved into the position of Small Business Consultant and then took on the role of Community Development Officer, which she has held since June 2009. Keanan holds a Bachelor's degree in Language & Linguistics from Queen’s University as well as supplementary studies in Economics and International Relations. She is fluently bilingual and has extensive experience working with employment programs and government services in Renfrew County. Ms. Hunt is skilled in conducting economic development research and assisting in the development of strategic plans, funding applications and community projects. She also supports community event coordination and communications activities and is dedicated to ensuring that the future of the Ottawa Valley is prosperous and sustainable.
Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, Ms. Hunt is also a very active community volunteer, sharing her talents with the Boys & Girls Club of Pembroke, Diocese of Pembroke and Renfrew Victoria Hospital. In her spare time she enjoys sports, architecture, literature, foreign languages and travelling. |
