Funds help Taste of the Valley

The Ottawa Valley Tourist Association is holding its second annual Taste of the Valley event at the Cobden Agricultural Grounds Oct. 18.  The event showcases locally-produced products and live entertainment. 

Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation has donated $5,000 to help cover expenses.  In the pictures are, from left, Petawawa Mayor Bob Sweet, chairman of Renfrew County's development and property committee, Whitewater Region Mayor Don Rathwell, head of the host community, Renfrew County Warden Janice Visneskie, Ted Barron, chairman of the the board of directors of the Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation, and Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MP Cheryl Gallant.
