Come and Lead our Renfrew County Business Development Team

The Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation (RCCFDC)  is currently accepting applications for an Executive Director with strong leadership, strategy, business acumen, community development experience and engagement skills.

Our current Executive Director will be retiring shortly.   We’re looking for our next visionary leader to step into this role, to build on her legacy and continue to achieve significant growth in our business community.  We’re not just filling big shoes: we are looking for someone who will help us define and deliver a new set of footprints for our organization, our entrepreneurs and our communities.

The Role

Our team is passionate about supporting the future of Renfrew County through fostering a healthy and vibrant entrepreneurial and supportive business culture.  As our new Executive Director, you will lead, inspire, enable, and empower the organization to face the evolving challenges confronting our current businesses and entrepreneurs.

Whether you are partnering with community members, business leaders, budding entrepreneurs, politicians, or partner agencies, you are the voice of our organization’s integrity and commitment. You’re an innovator, a champion of change, confident with technology and Investment Fund Management and able to build bridges across multiple business support opportunities.

As our Executive Director, and in collaboration with the Board, you will lead our team in its strategic direction, program development, and implementation. As our leader, you will stay current with the latest thinking, and promote and model an organizational culture that fosters teamwork, collaboration, courage, transparency, and healthy growth.

The Organization

RCCFDC  is a provincially-incorporated non-profit organization, governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors, focused on creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and pursuing economic growth in Renfrew County.   We, along with 60 other similar organizations in rural Ontario, receive operational funding from the Government of Canada through FedDev or FedNor Ontario.  Our approach is simple- we take a grass-roots approach to create local solutions and invest in local entrepreneurs and community initiatives that fit the challenges of our local economy.

The Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Finance or Business
  • An Entrepreneurial mindset with a minimum 5 years senior leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated Financial, Investment Fund Management and Business competence through significant years of experience in one or more related fields
  • Experience in preparing and overseeing budgets, and assessing investment opportunities to support business development and economic growth.
  • Solid relationship and interpersonal skills related to Board, employees, organization partners and the general public
  • Bilingual (French/English) competence is highly desirable

Salary Range:
The Salary Range for this position is $80,00 – $115,000  per annum plus attractive benefits.
